Our tackle divisions are designed for athletes ready to compete in a structured, safe, and development-focused football environment.
We provide a complete football experience that emphasizes both skill development and competitive play, while ensuring every athlete has the opportunity to participate.

Each registered player in our tackle divisions will receive:

Most tackle programs require families to purchase equipment ā we provide it.
š§ TEAM FORMATION
Teams will be created through a structured evaluation and draft process:
- Players attend a Combine & Evaluation Day
- Coaches assess skill level, experience, and position
- Teams are formed to ensure balanced and fair competition
š No stacked teams. No favoritism.
šļø PRACTICE & GAME STRUCTURE
- Teams will practice 2 times per week
- Games will be played once per week
- All activities will take place locally in Ave Maria
Practices will focus on:
- Fundamentals
- Position development
- Game preparation
šØ MINIMUM PLAY REQUIREMENT (MPR)
Ave Maria Tackle Football implements a Minimum Play Requirement to support player development and participation.
- Each player is guaranteed a minimum of six (6) plays per game
- A play is defined as any live offensive or defensive snap
If a player has not met the required minimum:
- They will be inserted into the game and remain in play until the requirement is satisfied
This policy ensures all athletes have the opportunity to contribute while maintaining a competitive game environment.
š SEASON FORMAT
Each season will include:
- Regular season games
- Playoffs
- Championship matchups
All teams will have the opportunity to compete throughout the season.

Ave Maria Tackle Football is a development-focused but competitive program.
- Playing time beyond the minimum requirement is not guaranteed equally
- Additional playing time may vary based on:
- Attendance
- Effort
- Skill development
- Game situations
